East Africa’s largest media house the Nation Media Group has announced it will close some of its subsidiaries in the region.
The media house said in a statement on Thursday it will run its TV station NTV as its single multi-lingual station and closing down Nation FM, QTV and Rwanda (KFM) .

The scaling down of its traditional media will have the radio stations maintain an online presence from June 30.
The media group hopes the new strategic direction will transform it into a modern 21 century digital content company.
This new direction will lead to the reduction of many jobs.
